The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation has generously awarded a grant in the amount of $93,000 to Omni House, Inc. under its Maryland Small Grants Program. The award will be used over a two year period to enhance Omni House, Inc.'s Supported Employment Program which provides long-term job placement and vocational training to Omni House, Inc. clients diagnosed with mental illness.

Maryland Affordable Housing Trust has generously awarded OMNIHOUSE a grant in the amount of $59, 045 . The award will be used to renovate OMNI’s Supported Living apartments at Oakleaf Villas in Glen Burnie.

CVS Caremark Community grants program awarded OMNI $1,100 to support uninsured members of the OMNIHOUSE Day Program. "This is an effective way for us to contribute to the success of communities where we do business" said Jennifer Veilleux, Director of CVS Caremark Corp. "We are proud to support the work that OMNIHOUSE does in the community."

Bristol Meyers Squibb has generously sponsored Omni House, Inc.'s 27th Annual Awards Banquet. The Annual Awards Banquet is attended by mental health professionals including MDs, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Pharmacists, clients and client families. The purpose of the Annual Awards Banquet is to celebrate each client's efforts toward living productively with mental illness. This year, the theme of our Annual Awards Banquet will be Community Integration. We will be inviting local business leaders in addition to our regular attendees in an effort to attract potential employers for our clients and to educate local business leaders on our successful Supported Employment Program. We are confident that our "Community Integration" Banquet will greatly support our client's efforts to live in the community as productive citizens and supply local businesses with a pool of qualified, hard working potential employees. Omni House, Inc. is pleased to announce Dr. Ram Raheja as the new Medical Director of the Omni House Clinic. Dr. Raheja has worked at the clinic as a part-time Psychiatric Physician since 2004. As the new Medical Director, he will be responsible for overseeing six part-time physicians working at the clinic who care for an average of fifty-five patients per day. Dr. Raheja brings nearly thirty years of experience as a Psychiatric Physician to the clinic. Furthermore, he has worked for the Springfield Hospital Center; a Psychiatric hospital located Sykesvile, MD since 2002 and will continue to do so. Dr. Raheja will be replacing Dr. Munir Ozdemir former Medical Director of the clinic who recently passed away. When asked how he felt about the new position, Dr. Raheja said, "I truly enjoy working in Psychiatry and being apart of the clinic's staff. Dr. Ozdemir was a great man and a dedicated professional colleague. I will miss him dearly and hope to continue his legacy of commitment and care for the patients of the Omni House Clinic." Omni House, Inc. recently dedicated the Omni House Clinic to Dr. Ozdemir.
